Hi, my name is Jayne Hyde and my love of dance began at the age of two, when I first started ballet and tap classes. From those early beginnings, dance quickly became a lifelong passion. I went on to complete all of my vocational examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), building a strong technical foundation across multiple styles.
At sixteen, I began volunteering as an assistant teacher, which sparked my love for teaching and inspiring young dancers. I later went on to study Musical Theatre at university, further developing my performance skills and broadening my experience in dance and stage performance.
After I graduated, I spent time working professionally as a dancer. I then returned home to start a new chapter—getting married and raising a family, while continuing to pursue my passion for dance.
In 2005, I began teaching locally and from those first classes Simply Dance was born. Over the years the school has grown into a supportive and welcoming environment where students of all ages can develop confidence, creativity and a love of dance. As part of my commitment to continually develop Simply Dance and broaden what we offer, I gained qualifications in acrobatics and recently completed further training in Irish dance, bringing new styles and opportunities for students in our area. I am incredibly proud to share my experience and passion with the next generation of dancers.
